PlushieS

Plushie #1

This was my first time really using a camera and editing, and it didn't go horribly. I think I did an okay job telling the story of my plushie video. However, there is a lot I can improve on. Some of the things I will need to focus on next time regarding the camera include keeping it in focus, keeping it steady, and finding different angles (and I'm sure much more). I made the mistake of not holding for a few seconds at the end of each clip, but thankfully this wasn't a big problem for this video. Regarding editing, I think I need to get to know Final Cut Pro better. All I did for this video was cut and put clips together, detach and delete audio, and add music. More could've been done to learn about editing. While the outcome was far from perfect, but this was a good experience overall.

Plushie #2

This was my second time using the camera/ editing and it went a little better than last time. Once I had my storyboard, it didn't take as long to shoot as the first time. A lot more- but not all- of my shots were in focus, and I remembered- most of the time- to hold for a few seconds after I had the shot before I stopped recording. I also had the camera set up on a stool, so the shots were somewhat steadier. When it came to editing I think I was able to piece clips together better when it came to the horse walking out of and into a new clip. One of these transitions was kind of funky though. I also am now more comfortable adding audio to videos and played with color correcting to make the film black and white. Again, this plushie is far from perfect, but I had fun making it.
